Ice hockey schedule of Winter Olympics 2010
The big game today however will be the men’s pool game between the USA and Canada. There is fierce rivalry between these two hockey loving countries dating back nearly to the inception of the sport. Canada have won gold nine times in this competition, with five silver and two bronzes while the United States of America have only won three gold, eight silver and two bronze. The United States of America hasn’t tasted gold since 1980 so they will be hoping for better performances this time round.
The 2010 Olympic hockey schedule will culminate with the final of the men’s competition which will be on Sunday, February 28 – it looks quite possible that this will be a North American affair. The women’s final will be shown three days earlier on the Thursday, February 25 and this too could well be USA vs Canada
The men’s tournament was quite exciting yesterday with Switzerland and Belarus both narrowly beating their opposition. The remainder of the tournament should be very enthralling.
