Kahn Academy for Weeker Maths and Science students in U.S
Khan Academy began four years ago, when Salman Khan saw the dramatic need of American students who were lagging behind in Math and Science. Kahn Academy is recorded for You Tube in a converted closet in the back of Salman Kahn’s bedroom in the San Francisco Bay area. Kahn has chosen to never go in front of the camera, so the students are only hearing the tutoring as Kahn’s voice.
Salman Kahn was very trouble when he noticed that American students were way behind the Asian and European students in math and science. So when Kahn began helping his young cousin with his math and science and the student’s grades and usable knowledge increased greatly, Salman Kahn brainstormed the idea that he could help many more American children if he just taught his classes via You Tube video library.
The Kahn Academy is a non-profit organization solely designed to aid children in developing better math and science skills. Parents and children can locate the Kahn Academy at this link: http://www.khanacademy.org/
